Rund 50 % der globalen CO2-Emissionen und mehr als 90 % des Verlusts an Biodiversität sind direkt oder indirekt auf die Rohstoffförderung und -verarbeitung zurückzuführen! Wir müssen daher unsere aktuellen Produktions- und Konsummuster überdenken, wenn wir dem Klimawandel und dem Biodiversitätsverlust entgegenwirken wollen.
Bereits seit vielen Jahren wird das Konzept der Circular Economy (deutsch: Kreislaufwirtschaft oder zirkuläre Wirtschaft) als Lösung diskutiert und gestärkt. Jüngst hat die EU dieser Vision im Rahmen des European Green Deal und des Circular Economy Action Plan neuen Aufwind verschafft, und auch die Bundesregierung arbeitet an einer nationalen Kreislaufwirtschaftsstrategie. So werden entscheidende Weichen für unsere zukünftige Wirtschaft gestellt!
Die Ausstellung "Pop-Up Circular Hub", gemeinsam mit den parallelen Veranstaltungen, ist ein Ort der Information über und Vernetzung von Akteuren der Circular Economy in Hamburg. In der Ausstellung bekommt ihr einen Überblick darüber, was Circular Economy – also Kreislaufwirtschaft – bedeutet und anhand von Beispielen, Forschungsansätzen und Projekten könnt ihr entdecken, was in Hamburg passiert, um eine Circular Economy zu etablieren.
Die Ausstellung lädt aber auch dazu ein, eigene Ideen und Fragen einzubringen!
Pop-Up Circular Hub wird von Fab City Hamburg e.V., dem Hamburg Institute for Innovation, Climate Protection and Circular Economy GmbH, der Hafen City Universität, der Senatskanzlei und dem New Production Institute der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität realisiert.
